I've been such a follower of Brooklyn since its first showings at the Denver Theater a few years back, this is due to the fact that I'm friggin in love with Eden! I knew her back in the day when she was a singer at Disney and have been a fan of her ever since. My Brooklyn experience though was amazing. I was so excited about the show's broadway opening, I bought tickets the hour they went on sale and planned a whole NY trip around my tickets with my friends. Let me tell you folks, it was breathtaking. The talent, I think is the best in town. You can just tell there is so much heart and soul in every one of those performers there. Everyone blew me away. Well, especially my fav, miss Eden Espinosa. Ramona Keller gave an outstanding career making performance as well. I was just in sheer aw watching those two "compete." The costumes in the show were outstanding! You almost wanted more to see what else they could come up with. The music in the show I think is what stands out the most. With the amazing cast behind it, each song hits you right in your stomach to give you that awesome chill, that feeling when you know you are experiencing something spectacular. The logo is perfect cause it hits you right in your heart as well. You feel the love and the passion behind this show and its message. It's amazing... and you gotta love it. Some critics may say otherwise but whose to say one person's opinion is right over all the standing ovations and cheers audiences are giving Brooklyn each night. It's a show for real people, and they're loving every moment of it. |
