"I haven't seen anything quite like it"
I saw Brooklyn October 22, 2004 and it was AMAZING!! SO GREAT!! I love the music and I can't wait for the CD to come out later this month. Eden was so kind at the stage door - in fact, the entire cast was!
The storyline is so solid and touching. I found myself crying, laughing, cheering, etc.
The set is so fantastic and the costumes too! So simple and yet so complex. I honestly felt like I was watching street performers putting on a show (duh!) - you know what I mean! The concept is great, the music is great, the actors are great, the direction was great! This is a musical you don't want to miss!
Brooklyn is the greatest new show since Hairspray! I haven't seen anything quite like it and I can't wait to come back to New York to see it again and again and again.
Thank you to each of the cast members for allowing me to come along with you on this journey. The honesty in each of your characters and the vulnerability is unbelievably touching. I felt transformed in a way for that period of time and I didn't want it to end! Thank you for an amazing performance and for sharing your talents with the rest of us! BRAVO! |
