"I went home happier than I have in
a long time. Hooray for Brooklyn!"
I saw Brooklyn on September 24th, 2004. It was amazing. The voices of all the actors and actresses were so different and yet, their voices all blended together so beautifully. I was there with my parents and sister and we just sat in awe watching every day objects become "Carnegie Hall" or wings and such. It was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever encountered. I had heard about it after walking by the theatre and at Broadway at Bryant Park. I initially wanted to see it was because I had heard Eden Espinosa as Elphaba at Broadway at Bryant Park and then I heard her again when Brooklyn was performed. After I saw it, I immediately listened to the 4 sample songs I had downloaded off the internet (and put on my iPod because I knew I had to wait to hear them for them to make any sort of sense). I'm yet to stop listening to them, and I'm going again. After the show, the cast and writers were so nice, they all came outside and even answered questions. They didn't run off after taking 6 pictures as I've grown accustomed to at some stage doors. I went home happier than I have in a long time. Hooray for Brooklyn! |
