"Thank you, cast and crew, for giving me this experience. The show was truly amazing."

Paul's Review: In my 14 years of being alive, I have seen many Broadway shows and Brooklyn is way up there. One day me, my mother, my sister, and a whole bunch of other people were going to see the musical Rent but we couldn't get tickets and we then heard about Brooklyn, so we went to go see it. I was very excited because I heard a lot of good things about it from one of my old teachers and friends.

As we were sitting in the lobby waiting for my mother to get tickets, I was reading all of the signs in the lobby. I saw the sign that said there was no intermission and I knew that this show was going to be unique. After getting the tickets, we left the theatre to go eat. When we came back, the line was out of the door and it was very hard to get into the theatre. As we got into the theatre I sat down and took one look at the stage and was in awe. The whole thing was made out of garbage. I watched the begining of the show and when Streetsinger came out and started to talk to the audience it was amazing. The stage pressence of every single person in the show touched me (even thought there were only five of them). A lot of songs came and went but one song hit me right at home (the heart). "Once Upon A time". One thing about this song that makes it so able to touch you in this way is the fact that you can relate to it. It's about how people hurt, and how people love, and for a lyricist to be able to do this is a very extravagent thing. After seeing the performance of this song I had had enough. I found it an honor to be able to see more of these actors/actresses.

After the show we talked to a lot of people about it. Then we waited for autographs. Everyone was so nice and then Eden came out. She was very appreciative of her fans. You don't see that in a lot of actors/actresses now, but she was actually able to stand there and talk with us for a full half hour. A couple of weeks later, Mark Schoenfeld and Barri McPherson came to my school and spoke to the whole acting program about their career together, and I found it amazing, how they met. They showed us a clip of "Once Upon a Time" and I just got the feeling that I was back in the theatre in those seats watching one of the greatest scenes that I have ever seen in a broadway show. Thank you, cast and crew of Brooklyn, for giving me this experience. The show was truly amazing.
